This is what Danny Miranda has to say about his first day of Rehearsals with Queen + Paul Rodgers:

"I did find it a little hard to concentrate, 'cause since I was a kid I've thought that Paul Rodgers has the best voice on the planet. He and Ray Charles are my favorites, If I had thought that one day I'd be playing with Paul I would have thought I was crazy to even think that. Funny how life comes full circle. To find people that I admire most are also beautiful people is a huge bonus and we're actually in the same room making music!!! Someone pinch me"

Brian May says, "FIRE AND WATER" was one of our Bibles when we were starting out. Paul was a hero of Freddies and ours."

Roger Taylor agrees, "We spent a lot of time listening to FREE."

Brian May: "Bohemian Rhapsody? We don't know yet. It is so much Freddies Song"

Jamie Moses talks briefly about the Rehearsals on QueenOnline.com: "Rehearsals are going well for the Queen & Paul Rodgers tour and we're all hugely excited about it. Paul is a fabulous singer and a lovely guy and the band sounds amazing now. We'll be off soon to South Africa for a 46664 concert, which should be a blast, then Europe and the UK - if it all goes well maybe we'll do some shows in other parts of the world?"

Brian comments my Interview on his Soapbox and talks briefly about the rehearsals, too:

I love playing these songs, and there is a great excitement, but there is a huge thrill also in exploring Queen material with Paul - he comes to it so fresh, with his own interpretations. As we go on in the rehearsal process, the songs are becoming much more one catalogue - a wonderful colourful spectrum of songs to be savoured as a new kind of enjoyment ! Of course there is so much common ground - it all dovetails together like it was meant to ... I'm already at the point where I'm thinking - "this is a great journey ... if we actually play some gigs it will be a bonus!!"
